Direct
Entry MSN
Also known as Graduate Entry or Master's Entry programs, the Direct Entry MSN program is generally designed for non-nurses who have already earned a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field.
Direct Entry MSN degree programs could potentially last three years.* During that time, students generally spend the first year studying entry-level nursing coursework and the remaining time on master's level study.
Students of the Direct Entry MSN program generally receive credit for their liberal arts requirements and should be able to complete a relatively shorter schedule of undergraduate nursing courses, and then move directly to their graduate coursework.*
Direct Entry MSN students often receive a combination of preparation for Registered Nurse Licensure, and advanced coursework in a master's specialty area.
